Apple Dumplings 3 c Diced apples*
1 ts Cinnamon*
1/3 c Brown sugar*
1/4 c Raisins*
4 c Water*
2 c Whole wheat baking mix MM#
1 c Water
2 tb Chopped nuts
Combine first 5 ingredients* in a large pan. Bring to a boil. Mix together last 3 ingredients and carefully drop by spoonfuls onto boiling fruit mixture. to cover it with a mass of dough. Simmer, partially covered, for about 5 minutes, then remove lid and continue simmering until dough is cooked, about another 8-10 minutes. Serve in bowls with a dollop of plain, non-fat yogurt, if desired. Makes 4 servings.
