Raised Waffles

1 pk Dry yeast
1/4 c Warm water (110 deg f)
1 3/4 c Milk, scalded & cooled
2 tb Sugar
1 ts Salt
3 Eggs
1/4 c Softened butter
2 c Flour, sifted

In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add milk, sugar and salt. Beat in eggs, butter and flour with mixer. Cover and let rise for 1 1/2 hours. Stir down. Cover and chill in refrigerator overnight or until ready to use. When ready to prepare, stir down and pour into hot waffle iron. Bake until golden brown. Serve with syrup or powdered sugar.
